Today I want to help you simplify your gift wrapping this season by providing a “Gift Wrapping Capsule” of what you need for beautiful and easy gift wrapping.
Every year, it seems like gift wrapping gets cuter and cuter. There are so many options and so many great destinations for wrapping paper. But by paring down your selections, you’ll spend less on wrapping paper and hopefully have fewer rolls of paper at the end of the season — not to mention a beautiful, cohesive theme under your tree!
Before we get to the paper, let’s talk about the tools. Make sure you have what you need, in one place, so you aren’t constantly searching for more tape or another pair of scissors.
A double-sided tape set (yes, double-sided tape!) is sometimes easier than using a flimsy disposable tape dispenser. Plus, this set comes with 6 rolls of double-sided tape. When taping wrapping paper with double-sided tape, pull the wrapping paper over the double-sided tape. You’ll never see a trace of tape on your gifts!
They may not be the most beautiful, but in terms of cutting paper and ribbon, these scissors are magic. Another hack: this bone folder which creates the most beautiful and crisp folds, making it easier to wrap your gifts.
I purchased my wrapping paper cart from The Container Store because I don’t have a dedicated wrapping closet but I can roll this into a closet. It keeps my ribbon, tags, and scissors all in one place.

My biggest tip for gift wrapping is don’t wait until Christmas Eve! Either wrap as you buy or break up over a few days earlier in the season. Which also means you need to go ahead and buy your gifts!
