To be candid, I am not a big crafter with my children. I don’t have time for complicated activities. I also want whatever we do to be enriching not just a time-filler, adding to their language or fine or gross motor skills. These activities do those things! They encourage their curiosity, a love of learning and thoughtfulness. Very little prep time or effort is needed and you can repeat them again and again.

Most of these will occupy young children for 15 to 20 minutes (depending on your little one’s age and attention span), but sprinkling them into your week can mean extra intentional time with your little ones.

Our list of intentional Valentine’s Day activities complements the seasonal books you may already be reading — but be sure to check out our classic Valentine’s Day book recommendations for children here! Many of these books are found on Amazon or at your local library.

Note: this is not a list of coloring/activity pages. It’s a bullet-pointed list of easy ideas for parents to draw from when they want enriching, screen-free ideas for their children!

Download our FREE Valentine’s Day activities for children here! You can save to your phone or computer, or print off and put it on your refrigerator. It would be fun to mark off the activities together as you go! Also this list would also be good for nannies or caregivers to use, too.
